The holy spirit is our disernment, it will guide you and direct you when you have no time to think. I love your country and am rv-ing myself in Europe for years now (being Europian). I ám always aware of my surroundings when camping wild. However, nèver felt really unsafe not carrying a firearm...you know why...cos nobody else does. It's that simple. I've got an axe nearby for my firewood, that's it. But I appreciate and understand that you guys do. It's also your culture, your history, your "self made" mentality, wanting to be independent. Let's not fight each other on this but acknowledge the difference but also acknowledge our shared and most precious value....our freedom. Hope to be able to visit your incredible country one day!

Actually just cleared my immediate neighbors house for her , as her parents are away and she works late a couple nights a week and is uncomfortable walking into an empty house. John and Mercedes I'm glad to see my comments on the video prior to this one about knowing the self defense laws in where you are traveling through didn't fall on deaf ears. I applaud you two for broaching this subject. I thought you two did a very fine job on a very complex subject. Like I said in my earlier post it's not the transporting of a firearm, it will be the method / act of self defense in that local area. I briefly scanned the comments from others with the 2A comments, what one needs to realize is that the absolute greatest threat to our bill of rights is every time a legislature at any level meets. There is no greater threat in my opinion. Another point is to say absolutely nothing except fear for your life or that for your loved ones, and lawyer up immediately invoke the 5th / Right to remain silent within the first 5 seconds as in YOU need to be on the phone calling a lawyer then ( this needs to happen for all in your party). Why? several reasons you are traveling and probably just shot /killed a local person in the act of self defense. It won't matter that he or she was a dirt bag scum of the earth since they was 6 years old. What will matter is the family and friends will push that governmental attorney as well as the local LEO's into frying you in court. The other is that even though we are supposed to be using the same language, more times than not what you say will be misconstrued and twisted, thus will be used against you in a court. That includes any statement that your traveling party says regardless of age, relationship or any other factor. With that being said it's not a mistrust of the police, it is the need to invoke the right to remain silent. Your adrenaline is pumping, your mouth and verbiage has no filter you will be talking your way into a prison sentence. Let the lawyer explain EVERYTHING during the interview with the police. There really ideally should only be one story yours. Like I said earlier in my post of the previous video thank God for them ( the police / LEO's), but they will be pressured by the surviving friends and family of the person you killed or shot. Remember your a stranger traveling through, not a member of their community. Now I'm not a lawyer, and what I posted is not legal advice except YOU NEED a Lawyer, but one does not need to be a lawyer to understand why I say what I say. Also don't fall for the trap "oh if you have nothing to hide ...." sorry but that is a fishing expedition used by the LEO's. It's supposed to be a Constitutional civil right. What we got is a large set of laws dependent on what zip code you happen to be in. People are in jail out of confusion because the 20,000+ "laws" are so convoluted. Having 9 political hacks in black robes, taking liberties with the simple text of our Bill of Rights has been a disaster.

I would recommend USCCA, and you mentioned US Law Shield, so thanks. BTW, did you know that when personnel who work in law enforcement are involved in a shooting, they are placed on Administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation? Stay safe, stay vigilant, and keep practicing weapon-handling skills.

Don’t RV, it’s too dangerous. There are more guns than people in this country! You might get shot no matter where you are (school, church, nightclub, etc).

You may have real anecdotes you can point to, of people who've been victinized, but that doesn't change the fact that you are clearly brainwashed by a steady stream of Fox News exaggerations and Donald Trump constantly painting an apocalyptic description of a country in near-anarchy, from his inauguration through every rally he holds. Want to keep a pistol (one, maybe?) to feel safer and in case you really do ever need it? --- fine. I might even decide to do so ourselves, when we start RVing, as extra insurance besides our dog. But take a breath, stop being so paranoid, and put more faith in Christ (the same one I also pray to) to take care of the rest.

i'm a retired LEO, am CCW and i never go anywhere without it! However, pick up some "insurance" to make sure y'all are covered. While either in our Dually or our SUV when i yell to the youngings to "get down" they know to get onto the floor and out of the line of fire. We also carry walkie talkies with us when outside the RV. Also, change the locks of your RV. Most RVs have generic locks which can be opened by just about anyone. When we travel, we limit ourselves to just 4 hours a day with our "scheduled stops" at an RV park! We're just never in any hurry to get anywhere. Never do we stop in rest areas, truck stops etc.

Is one of those states you won't cross into California? I live there and will be moving to Idaho soon partly due to California's asinine gun laws and the insanity that this state has become.

I am a licensed gun owner and carry sometimes... if I was to travel to another state I wish I could bring a gun.. but I read the NRA monthly..... some states are good and some are truly out to lock you up. a few years ago there was a RN... she would go to work late night shift at a hospital ...just on the edge of New Jersey well she got detoured and wound up going into New Jersey.... she was pulled over for something foolish... as a responsible gun owner she turned on her interior lights and placed her hands out the window and she informed the officer she had a license to carry a firearm and had a firearm on her... he informed her she didn't have a license to carry a firearm in New Jersey and promptly arrested her... she went to trial and was sentence to two years in prison... they knocked the sentence down to 18 months, she was in prison for three months while the NRA got their lawyers to fight this injustice of a hard working nurse that accidentally drove into New Jersey... no matter what the lawyers did and tried..... the judges demanded she do the full time...... eventually it was a big NRA story and Governor Christie received a petition and got her out with a pardon... but she lost her job and all her life savings trying to fight this....... in my Nazi State of Massachusetts I read in the newspapers at least once a month about the newspapers congratulating the police on arresting someone with a gun in Massachusetts... when you read the article you find it is someone on vacation and got pulled over and arrested for having a legal gun in their state..... but not in Massachusetts... you probably have seen a couple of football players that came to Massachusetts to play football with the Patriots... they drive their fancy car from whatever state to Mass with out of state plates... and of course get pulled over and they find a gun and they are in jail and fighting to get out and go play football... I have seen it three times... can you imagine going through NJ or Massachusetts and being arrested and sent to prison for two to five years!!!!!... you will spend every penny you have... you will lose your job.... you will be a convicted felon for the rest of your life..... for me it's not a chance I'm willing to take.... most states are happy to see RV-ers... but states like NJ MA will target you to search your vehicle to see if you have a gun and ruin your life.

I have had my CCP for as long as I can remember. I am not renewing it this time as Florida allows for CC. For law abiding citizens. We will always carry, no matter where we travel. Except Canada. Trying to figure out where to lock them up when we head into Canada in September. Any ideas people? I have a sister in NJ but that doesn’t help since it’s illegal.

I live in California so I am screwed. However I would rather have some legal issues to deal with than have harm come to me or my loved ones. I will defend myself and my family if need be no matter the laws!

Recent SCOTUS rulings have favored the armed citizen over the blue state 2nd amendment restrictions laws on carrying a loaded firearm. Love the fob alarm idea ! Even though we live in a blue state where we rv a lot we still fortunately have legal open carry.

That must have reasonable suspicion to search your vehicle. Then they must have probable cause.
